From the gel formulation to the custom-made trays and digital patient support, every detail has been developed with one goal: better treatment results with less effort.
Tooth whitening is among the treatments with the highest patient demand – and at the same time one of the aesthetic services offered least often. Not because the results are unconvincing, but because existing systems are often unnecessarily complicated: long wear times, imprecise trays, a lot of explaining and patients who feel unsure at home. Aura One was developed to solve exactly these problems. Every component has a clear purpose – for a treatment that fits more easily into daily practice and reliably guides patients to their desired result.

Digital patient support, videos and AI assistance reduce follow-up questions and save time.
Premium kit
Every kit is delivered personalised and is ready for handover to the patient right away.
Successful tooth whitening is about more than hydrogen peroxide. The entire formulation is what matters. That is why Aura One combines proven active ingredients with ingredients that support comfort during treatment.
The maximum permitted concentration for cosmetic tooth whitening in the European Union – for reliable and predictable results.
Supports tooth hydration during treatment and helps reduce signs of dehydration.
Helps reduce treatment-related sensitivity and increases patient comfort.
Supports remineralisation of the enamel during the whitening phase.
No overnight application. Aura One was deliberately designed for a wear time of about one hour – easy to fit into daily life and therefore highly accepted by patients.

With at-home whitening, the tray largely determines treatment comfort. If it fits imprecisely, gel can leak and irritate the gums. Aura One was designed to avoid exactly that. The result is a comfortable treatment with high patient compliance and reproducible results.
The integrated dosing points show patients exactly how much gel is needed. This prevents overdosing, reduces gel consumption and makes every application reproducible.
With a material thickness of only about one millimetre, the trays are barely noticeable in daily life and particularly comfortable to wear.
Through digital CAD design, high-resolution 3D printing and precision thermoforming, the tray seals exactly against the teeth. The gel reliably stays on the tooth surfaces – where it is meant to work.

Less explaining. Most questions only arise at home. That is why Aura One supports patients even after they leave the practice.
Direct access to the patient portal – anytime and without an app.
Patients can document their applications and follow their progress. This motivates them and improves compliance.

The handover is part of the treatment too. The first impression does not end after the treatment. That is why the kit has also been thought through down to the last detail.

Around 50%
About half of all patients start with a tooth shade in the A3 range.

Before an aesthetic anterior restoration is the ideal time to ask patients whether they are happy with their current tooth shade. If not, you can whiten first and then match the definitive restoration to the new shade. After whitening is complete, wait at least 5 days, ideally 14 days, before adhesive restorative work. If the restoration significantly changes the tooth shape, new Aura trays can be made inexpensively from a current scan – so the result stays easy to refresh in the long term.
Whitening before veneer planning can significantly improve the starting situation. A lighter natural tooth substance makes shade design easier and, especially with darker starting shades, can allow less invasive preparations. At the same time, you can reassess together with the patient which teeth actually need to be restored. For example, whitening the natural lower teeth can make more extensive ceramic work there unnecessary.
When replacing existing anterior restorations, it is worth asking beforehand: is the patient happy with the colour of their natural teeth? Whitening before replacement creates a new, lighter starting shade to which composite or ceramic can then be matched. This way the restoration is not matched to a tooth shade the patient actually wants to change. After the last whitening, wait at least 5 days, ideally 14 days, before adhesive procedures.
For aesthetically disturbing white spots or other changes suitable for resin infiltration, any desired tooth whitening should be considered before the infiltration. This way the surrounding natural tooth shade can be optimised first, and you can then assess how much the lesion still stands out and what further aesthetic correction is needed. After whitening is complete, allow sufficient time before resin infiltration.
Once aligner therapy is complete, tooth position and proportions are optimised – often the tooth colour then moves more into focus for patients. Aura can be integrated into the existing digital workflow as a final step: take the final scan, order Aura and complete the aesthetic result with tooth colour. The custom Aura trays can then be reused for later refreshes.
After external stains have been removed, patients see their natural tooth shade particularly clearly. This makes professional cleaning a good moment to ask whether they are happy with that shade. If they would like lighter teeth, you can take an intraoral scan right away and integrate Aura One into the existing appointment – without a separate scan appointment.

Go to the science

As a practising dentist, one thing has struck me again and again over the years: whitening is the treatment with the best ratio of patient satisfaction to effort. Patients love the result, the procedure is minimally invasive – and yet no practice had a system that truly works. The options were always a compromise: overnight trays nobody likes to wear. Chairside procedures whose quick results fade just as quickly – and which often cause sensitivity. Drugstore products that are ineffective and sold without any professional supervision. So I started rethinking every single element — the gel, the trays, the patient guidance, the practice workflow. With one goal: a system that works better, delivers results faster and is more comfortable — easier for the patient and easier for the practitioner. A system that makes whitening so simple and predictable that it integrates effortlessly into daily practice. The result is Aura One — developed and manufactured in Berlin.

Few treatments delight patients as much as whitening – with comparatively little effort for the practice. What I was missing was a system that makes this potential simple and reliable to use in daily practice. That is exactly why I co-developed Aura One.
